She passed her first exam with flying colours.
And at the end of the week, she got a grade of A.
“Look see!” she cheered, stinky from the garden.
“Gabuy!” called the plant-sim roommate.
Theodora wondered if she could miniaturise him for her toy chest.
She arrived back home, where it was still raining, night, and Wilfred had gone back inside.
But he was waiting up for her, lost in another book though.
She thought not to disturb him while she applied for another scholarship with her improved skills.
The cheery university scholarship music played and the scores took up the whole room but Theodora still had to go and kiss Wilfred for him to stop reading his book and notice her home.
“I missed you” he sighed, “How did you go?”
“I passed everything and got all A’s, and everything worked like you said” she twittered back, “And I really missed you too, you’re my team just like in Egypt”
“I knew you’d do well” he encouraged her, “Maybe I could come back with you and do a second degree” he suggested.
“I can do it, you had your time on your own” she resisted, dialling the number quick.
“Yes just me” she told them.
“Go get ‘em Darling” he admired.
“Have you got your lunch?” Wilfred called after her, waving from behind the bushes, “And a .. “
The truck whisked her away back to university.
