Lookalikes

Some quick pics of Roy Phillips and Palmer Hayes in Lucky Palms.

Here they are in my sim’s house, which is an upgraded army shack next to the military base. Their own house, on the lake has black leather block couches and huge wall art arranged in a record-label vibe. The game has Palmer in a romantic relationship with Buelah, one of the Golden Girls household. The relationship status between Roy and Palmer is ‘Best Friends for Life’.

The two sims resemble Barry Manilow and his husband and manager, Garry Kief, whom according to this article (Butler, 2015), married in Palm Springs (half of the Lucky Palms inspiration) in 2014. Barry Manilow and manager married in 2014 – UPI.com

Here is a picture of Barry Manilow and husband Garry Kief. In this picture, among many others on Google Images, Garry Kief has the same glasses and body-type as the sim, Palmer Hayes.

Palmer has a trait of Hydrophobic. Is that saying “afraid to dip the toe in the water” or “afraid to get the feet wet”? Or just a quirky trait to have while living on the lake? He has interesting outfits. His everyday is very plain: brown shirt, brown pants. What is the meaning of that?

His pyjamas are a pale yellow dressing gown with a green dragon print.

His formal is a white jacket with green check, very similar to the jacket he wears in a photo taken only recently in 2021. What is with that? Is it possible the real life one is being influenced by his simself?
