Home Improvement and Wedding Night

Homer and Emma got a new bedroom and bathroom, taking up nearly half of a new upper floor. I used Homer’s favourite colour purple, and Emma’s of black. In the bathroom I took ideas from Homer’s Life Time Wish of becoming a Seasoned Traveller, reaching level 3 of all three World Adventure destinations. Just a bit.

The family have a decent pot of funds now, over 200 thousand Simoleons. Emma was not the last person in her household and so she didn’t bring much. The accumulation of wealth has been from everyone’s earnings, ownership of 5 businesses, selling excess garden produce and fish, rocks and relics from World Adventures, and Dardanus’ inventing and salvaging. It has allowed some freedom in providing comfortable and powerful needs-boosting surroundings for them, as well as be fancy.

I used floor to ceiling windows so they could have a view of the waterfall at the Stoney Falls fishing park from their bed, and the bath. In the game curtains prevent being able to see into the windows, although it doesn’t totally seem like it. Standing outside the window of someone else’s house you can choose to look in and the view of the room, or is it the house, opens up to the peeping sim. Otherwise they, you can’t see into the house. Looking into our house from a zoomed out area outside, shows the pot-plant in the bathroom, but not the bath.

And so, the curtains, even though not covering the whole window, do work somewhat. Just in case, Homer and Emma have a nice screen at the end of their bed. Its all just imaginary anyway.

Their ceiling is opened up by the skylights. You can see how the bathroom curtains are having an effect on the bathroom view, only the pot-plant shows. Everything is visible in the bedroom though. Perhaps the three-wide curtains are more functional. I might try changing to them later.

The roof ended up a higgledy-piggledy jumble.

And from the front, its not too bad.

Ethan Bunch kept throwing confetti as night was falling and the party had long wound down, and was being cleaned up. The shift at the diner had already started, which Helen, and Emma had gone to in time.

Finally, Ethan said “Great party” and changed into his work uniform.

He dashed off, looking pretty concerned.

Helen arrived home from work as a 5-star chef – at the diner, and had some leftover wedding cake.

Emma arrived home too, and parked her black Big Lemon in the underground, to find the family has bought her a sports car in the same, cloned colour. She’s not sure if she’ll sell her Big Lemon, but nobody will need it once she makes the new one her favourite.

She changed back into her wedding dress and joined Homer on their new bed upstairs. He was reading his Photography skill book while waiting for her. It was the best bed she’d ever been on. Her pre-made residence at The Roomies household was the cheapest and most uncomfortable in the catalogue. This one was top-of-the-line with an Energy rating of 10.

The stars, and the waterfall on the mountain were beautiful, and romantic.

“First of all, I’d like to practice my Charisma skill” said Homer, as he kissed her hand.

But Emma pulled him close and onto the pillows, “You’ve got plenty of time for skills later” she reminded him.

“I’m sorry, you’re right” he said warmly.

“And I promised in our vows didn’t I” he said, leaning to her to kiss, while the waterfall tumbled over the cliff edge at Stoney Falls across the view way.

Then they tumbled under the covers, sending the pillows spinning. Love petals fluttered around the room … and tinkle-bells played.

Next morning, Emma helped herself to some Lobster Thermidore packed in the fridge, which Helen had made.

The wedding had been packed away.

Dardanus was testing the new hot-tub and Homer was inspired to train his Martial Arts skill.

Helen decided she ought to go catch some more lobster, and tuna for lobster. Faster than Dardanus’ cloning and breeding. She used the bay behind the Landgraab house.

She did at least catch some ‘Outstanding’ fertilizer.
