“I guess that’s how it goes” said Wilfred, alone with a slightly disappointed looking Theodora, “But here we are now, and we can go on a honeymoon if you like?” he tried to cheer her up.

She looked away. “Theodora?” he asked.

She was looking at the mummy photo from Egypt.

“Were you scared of the mummy? Maybe he scared our friends away, but you’ve got the fireplace there, fire gets rid of mummies” she told him, thinking about her toy dragon she’d call on for protection.

“I didn’t know that!” he marvelled, “I was a bit scared, I ran but I took the photo when I saw he was slow”

“Are there many in Egypt?” she asked worriedly.

“Only in the deep tombs, but that’s where the best treasure is” he told her.

He embraced her, “But you wouldn’t need to be scared, I would protect you” he assured her.

“Maybe we could go later” she suggested.

“If you want” he agreed, “Then I can get up some skill books for you to read while we’re there. Time stands still at home, so if you skill build on vacation it’s a nice head start, and you could go to university when we get back with less credits to do” he told her.

“That would be good” she sighed relief.

“And we can start your logic, I think it might help with reading the skill books” he suggested.

“Yes please” she agreed.

They sat down to the chess table; Wilfred white, Theodora black. “It’s the first time I’ve seen Ursula today since writing my book” Wilfred observed while Theodora started on her first logic point, “Will she be OK on her own without you?” he asked.

“She stole my fluffy pen” Theodora complained as her point passed halfway, “Put that in your book”

“I dislike when that happens” Wilfred agreed.

“She probably needed it to take inventory of the men in her pantry, she must have quite a stock then, she’ll be fine” Theodora reasoned.

“The man-eating can’t be true, it’s just a phrase” Wilfred worried.

“And now I’m out of there I’ll never know ..” Theodora wondered dreamily, and with that she’d gained her first logic point.
