Finally buy a laptop for writing his novels, that’s what. At a discount! He’d used the library to help slightly speed up gaining the Writing skill, but now that it’s maxed he doesn’t need to do it there. I’m not sure if it makes a difference with the speed or quality of the novel. Achieving the challenges does – ‘Speed Writer’, ‘Prolific Writer’ and ‘Specialist Writer’.
Even with the discount, his purchase had drained his funds somewhat. He got started on a new novel, “Two for Tea, Sugar”.
Going hard at it drained his fun too much before he could finish, he only had a bit to go.
He went upstairs and played pool to fix it.
Hooray! He finished and earned $3,548. He bought something to celebrate.
A brain machine. He only had enough for the cheaper one.
That’s OK! He has maxed handiness and upgraded it! Enough of this you haven’t got enough friends business! Let’s see if he can gain Charisma on the brain machine without having the required friends ..
He sat in the chair and put the chrome cap on, a bunch of unsightly wires hanging out of it.
It worked! He gained Charisma AND it gave him friends in order to get it.
Pop ups told him he didn’t have enough and then another said he got it. His relationship panel showed a friend status on random sims he both did and didn’t already know. It didn’t affect his Social Group influence whichever way those friends were. If Wilfred doesn’t end up having enough time to work on that, he plans on just buying the influence with his happiness points. Enough to gain the extra trait.

On the Tuesday while Wilfred was at his Quadrant class, Alison Kramer was hanging around wearing a custom outfit I’d made for my sim Raquel in another game. It’s part of the Russian collection from The Store, recoloured.
You can find it in my Sims 3 My Studio, labelled ‘Raquel’s Outerwear’ http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8734563
Alison had randomly worn it herself, without my hand. This is because I had installed it after I exported it, as well as just saving it on my game. Maybe I should make some better variations of the silly overalls. One day.

Friday arrived, the snow had cleared, and Wilfred had his last Friday exam for the stint. He got there nice and early.
Yay he passed! He clenched the awesomeness in his fist and gave it a tug.
While waiting for 9 pm to strike Saturday, he got the mail.
The friends the brain machine made him had sent him love presents. He sold them all in the family inventory for cash.
All of his roommates came out to wave him off.
“Gabuy!” they cheered, and blew him kisses.
