Wilfred’s second university stint started. All of his classes were at 8 am. His Quadrant class was on the Tuesday again. It was Winter, and everywhere was covered with snow. We later discovered that building snowmen was actually a really quick, on-the-spot fun booster, but the townies already knew that and were leaving half finished, and half ruined one’s all over the place.
The broadcasting contraption kept telling Wilfred he didn’t have enough friends to progress to the next level in Charisma. He’s been too busy keeping to himself, trying to build his Writing and Handiness. The university tells him Photography will count as a Communications skill, so he plans on working on that too. Maybe it will secretly help in the Journalist career.
He spent the rest of his Tuesday in the library, working on his Writing for free on their computer.
Congratulations! He maxed out Writing. ‘Turns out that is the level for the Romance genre, unless you are a Hopeless Romantic. He started on a novel right away, “Old Aprons in Chrome”. Every two to three hours he got paid nearly a hundred dollars. He hopes that’ll mean a lot more to come when he’s finished.

The morning of his Wednesday class, Wilfred got himself fed and dressed nice and early, to be able to leave the dorm without having to wait for roommates at the departure spot, and make it to the street-facing doors of the business building, before the game makes him go in the Quadrant-facing doors, which are always crowded up with classmates when it’s time to go in, sometimes blocking Wilfred from getting into class on time. It always calls him an hour and a half early, and if he can make it in time to go in right then, the performance meter does include that extra time, unlike arriving at a job early. It also drains the Fun-need that extra time.
He got there before sunrise and had time to fill his fun first with a snowman, so he can last the whole class on ‘Work Hard’.
His O’Connor class was on the Thursday. He sat down the back, for easier leaving. He had a question for his ‘professor’.
“How can you be my professor when if you marry one of my daughters, your grade will’ve only been C? Your degree isn’t even in Communications” Wilfred complained.
Scot Macklamoor turned back to the whiteboard and ignored him. Wilfred hasn’t befriended him yet, even though he chose ‘Suck up to professor’ the whole Monday class. He’s a nerd anyway.

Despite his cheeky question in class, Wilfred passed his Friday exam with flying colours – he’d chosen ‘Try Hard’ and his performance meter and needs were full.
He felt like he needed to celebrate maybe.
In the library. He is a Bookworm. He read his Handiness book until he couldn’t, trying to hit the top. He was on his last level. He got so close!
But he didn’t make it, having to go home to sleep. ‘Soon as he had enough sleep though, he pulled the book back out and read it on his bed.
Too quick to capture, his last level filled up and popped! The game told him congratulations, because he’d maxed the Handiness skill and as a reward the Builders Association were giving him a ‘hefty discount’ on all build and buy items. He’s pretty pleased with himself. Alas he has the whole weekend to pass by yet. What to do?
